Department of Higher Education provides passports to UG/PG (final year) students of the Colleges in Haryana are to be provided to youth of Haryana to provide employment opportunities in the Foreign Countries. The Department of Higher Education, Haryana will bear the expenses of Passport Fee.
Nodal officers appointed at the college level have been trained by the Passport authorities. Nodal Officers apply online for passport and the Fee is submitted online by the college and fetch the appointment in their nearest passport office/ POPSKs.
For the proper monitoring of the scheme, following provisions have been made:-
- A three members committee headed by Principal including one Senior most faculty and Dy. Supdt/Assistant shall be constituted at the level of College.
- The Committee shall ensure that all the eligible students under the schemes are covered.
- The college Principal shall submit the weekly report to the concerned District Higher Education Officer (DHEO), and DHEO shall submit the consolidated report to DD- NPE after being satisfied with the report received from the colleges that the maximum eligible students are being covered under the schemes.
