Technical Education

  1. Establishment matters relating to officers and staff under the administrative control of the
  2. Department, except matters allotted to the Personnel, General Administration, Administrative
  3. Reforms and Training Department.
  4. To accord affiliations to the Diploma level institutions.
  5. To conduct examinations, frame rules thereof and to award diplomas.
  6. To deal Academic, Administrative and financial matters.
  7. To inspect and audit income-expenditure accounts of all Government Polytechnics/ institutions.
  8. To inspect and Audit income-expenditure accounts of Government Aided Technical institutions.
  9. To prepare the Plan and Non-Plan Budgets of the Department and monitor the implementation
  10. of various schemes (Plan and Non-Plan).
  11. To prepare project reports of various schemes for the expansion, improvement and Development
  12. of Technical Education.
  13. To arrange scholarships/stipend and other facilities to the students.
  14. To develop and promote Technical Education both at post-Diploma, Diploma and Degree level
  15. Courses.
  16. The Pharmaceutical Education.
  17. Formulation of Policies for the students belonging to weaker sections of society.
  18. Formulation of policies for encouraging quality Technical Education at all levels.
  19. Regulation and standardization of Technical Education at certificate, Diploma, Post Diploma,
  20. Under Graduate and Post Graduate level.
  21. Administration and Control of all Government Institutions relating to Technical Education or
  22. any other Institute to be opened by Government in the Field of Technical Education.
  23. Regulation of examination, Admissions, fee and all incidental matters of private and
  24. Government Institutions under the ambit of the Department.
  25. Arranging funds for development of Technical Education and encouraging investment in
  26. Technical Education through Public Private Partnerships.
  27. Mobilization of funds from Government of India under various schemes and implementation of
  28. these schemes and disbursement of funds under various schemes.
  29. Regulation and monitoring of all AICTE approved courses such as Engineering, MBA, MCA,
  30. Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Pharmacy, Architecture, Diploma etc.
  31. Mapping of Human Resources need in Technical Education and planning of Human Resources
  32. Development according to the needs of the State, Initiating new schemes for promoting
  33. Technical Education.
  34. Inspection and monitoring of Technical Institutions including State/ Private and Deemed
  35. Universities offering Technical Education for verification of infrastructure, faculty, machinery
  36. equipment and other facilities for quality technical education at all levels.
  37. Reorganization of the courses and institutions of technical education.
  38. Inter-State and Intra-State coordination in the Technical Education.
  39. Technical Education Quality improvement programs and training.
  40. Technical Education- all matters relating to and including:-
    • the Haryana State Board of Technical Education Act, 2008 (19 of 2008);
    • the Haryana Private Technical Education Institution (Regulation of Admission and Fee) Act, 2012 (18 of 2012);
    • Haryana State Technical Education Society.

Science & Technology

  1. Identification of new technology for agriculture and industry.
  2. All matters relating to arrangements for processing the new technology.
  3. All matters relating to liaison with Research Institutions, National Laboratories, Universities and Department of Science and Technology of the Government of India.
  4. Dissemination of new technology in the State;
